How quickly do you respond to email messages?

We aim to respond to all messages within 24 hours, however it is often much sooner – less than an hour.

Will I have to sort out domain registration(s)?

No, you don’t have to. We will register the domain(s) of your choice through a reliable third party registrar

I already have a domain, can I use it?

Of course, we will advise you about transferring your domain over to Black Owl and help with this process.

Can I manage my hosting myself?

Yes! We use the industry standard control panel, cPanel, on our servers which will enable you to easily do this.

Can I edit and maintain my website myself?

If you wish – we do also provide updates and edits as a managed service. We can talk you through the options when you get in contact.

Will my website be safe/secure?

Yes, our files are backed up off-site daily (although we would still advise keeping your own backups too). We also update our security systems regularly to ensure protection from malicious attacks.

Do you offer a cost reduction for charities/students?

Yes, please contact us for more information, providing your registered charity number/academic email and details about the project.

What payment methods do you accept?

BACS and PayPal. When you receive an invoice via your email, further payment information will be included in the footer. There will also be a button on the invoice webpage which will enable you to pay online through PayPal using a payment method of your choice (including debit/credit cards).
